Yesterday, in a joint letter directed at the hunger strikers, the three chancellor-candidates declared that they would be up for "individual, personal and not public" conversations after the elections.
The hunger strikers state: "The offer was the opposite of what we are demanding. A conversation that excludes the public is unthinkable. We now need a collective moment of waking up. A conversation after the election - the fateful election that our matter is about - is out of question. Apparently the only thing that unites the candidates Baerbock, Laschet and Scholz is: they do not care about the young generation's future."
Jacob Heinze, who collapsed yesterday, is back from the hospital and continues the hunger strike. The strikers' health is worsening drastically.
The hunger strike continues, even after 17 days.Press release).
